Sustainability

Listed companies play an important role in making the economy and society more sustainable. In turn institutional investor can also contribute to that. They can do this by not only incorporating financial information in their investment policy but also material non-financial risks and opportunities, such as risks and opportunities associated with environmental, social and governance factors (ESG). In addition, they can do this by either offering financial products with an explicit sustainability objective or by investing in these products. The members of Eumedion endorse the importance of a responsible and sustainable investment policy and are committed to enhance the sustainability policy of Dutch listed companies. In that context they are committed to ensuring that the business model and the strategy of listed companies are compatible with the transition to a sustainable economy and with the limiting of global warming to 1,5 °C in line with the Paris Agreement.
